Description
(Brassica oleracea var. acephala) Also called Walking Stick Cabbage, Tree Kale or Giant Tree Kale, Chou Moellier is heavy producer that tastes great when chopped raw in salads, blended in smoothies, used as a cooked green vegetable or made into kale chips. Excess kale freezes well.
A rare heirloom kale with very large, slightly crumpled, green leaves produced on a strong, tall trunk. Plant height 1-2m. Continually harvest the bottom leaves as the plant grows, avoiding damage to the growing tip. The result is a tall tree-like plant with a "walking stick" trunk. An excellent feed supplement for chickens. 49 - 63 days.
