Description

Korean mint (Agastache rugosa) is a low-maintenance, attractive, hardy, perennial flowering herb with a pleasant aniseed (liquorice) scent and flavour. Use the young leaves and flower buds in teas, salads, stir fries and for seasoning soups and stews.

 

Korean mint likes a position of full sun and remember to water moderately, it enjoys heat but also tolerates freezing. Attracts and feeds a host of beneficial insects, bees and birds. A great herb for beginner gardeners.

 

Best started in seedling trays as germination can sometimes take up to 50 days. Height: 60-90cm, Spread: 50-60cm. Good for containers or flower bed borders. Harvest continually by the leaf or stem tips for use in salad mix, or cut in bunches as you would basil.
