Red Creole Onion (Allium cepa) is a short day onion with hard, mid-sized, flat bulbs and spicy, red flesh. The flavour is pleasantly pungent and not too sweet. A good cooking onion or perfect for salads and sandwiches. Excellent for storing. 110 days

Onions are the backbone to nearly any savory dish acting with such humility that they are often overlooked in the garden. While easy to grow from seed, the key is selecting the right type for the region and adapted to your area. This is a short-day onion, it requires 10-12 hours of daylight at the end of its growth cycle to bulb up. Short-day onions grow well in our southern climes.
