Description
An amazing small cherry tomato variety from Brad Gates of Wild Boar Farms in Napa, California. Very dark purple colour, which means it’s super-rich in anthocyanins. Unripe, the fruits are a glowing amethyst purple and at maturity they turn deep red where the fruit was shaded, the areas that received intense sunshine are a purple so deep it’s almost black. Pick when the deep red colour is fully developed. Interior ripens to a brick red-brown with a juicy thick flesh. The flavour is intensely fruity, and sugar-sweet.
Plants need to be trellissed and are extremely productive, yielding all season long right up until first frost, in elongated clusters that are as stunningly beautiful as the tomatoes are tasty. Sunburn, crack resistant and disease tolerant. This is our new favourite cherry tomato at Harvest Moon Seeds. 75 days.
Indeterminate (vine) variety.
