Description
Golden Acre is an excellent early summer variety ball head cabbage. Small to medium-sized green, round, dense, solid heads on compact plants with few outer leaves. Ideal for confined areas, it can be grown at 30cm spacings and give excellent small heads of first rate quality and flavour.
The inner flesh is tender and delicious raw or steamed. Perfect for coleslaw, stir fries and other fresh uses but not usually considered an excellent storage type. One of the earliest cabbage types we sell.
Golden Acre is an old Danish heirloom variety, earliest references are in 1927 seed catalogues. 64 days.
