Description

An ancient native American heirloom squash, grown by the northern Indians for hundreds of years. First recorded by Europeans back in 1591 and one of the best tasting and yielding varieties still around today.

Great fried and baked. This summer squash has scalloped edged fruits that are pale green when young, turning creamy white when mature. Sometimes known as a Patty Pan, this is a tender summer squash with a very mild flavor and creamy white meat. Easy to grow, rarely bothered by insects and prolific producers. Both the White Bush Scallop and the Yellow Bush Scallop make ideal container or patio garden plants. 50 days.
