China Rose Winter Radish

Description

A traditional winter hardy variety, producing 18-20cm long, tapering roots with attractive rosy pink skins and crisp, pure white flesh. A Chinese radish dating back to the early 1800's and introduced to Europe in the 1950's, the 'China Rose' has a distinctive, slightly pungent, peppery taste that adds plenty of flavour to winter salads. The leaves can also be added to salads and stir fries. Stores well and our advice is to sow plenty of it, some for immediate consumption and some for storage, as you won't find them in your typical supermarket.
