Description

Developed by the Capuchin Monks in Flanders Europe in the 1500’s. Strong 1.5-2m tall vines produce an abundance of beautiful rare purple pods (that start out a rose/wine colour). Can be used as soup peas when dry and as snow peas when young. Flattened seeds are large and olive green/gray/golden brown. Flowers are deep pink or sometimes pink/purple. Note: Soak dry peas overnight before cooking. 80 days.
